Lukas Troberg's work ist characterised by an experimental, mostly political discourse on the themes of language and communication. His poem-like works range from multi-lines and single words to complete abstraction, when he partially or completely erases texts and thus makes them all the more visible. His work has been honoured with numerous prizes, exhibitions and scholarships, such as the recognition prize of the Kunsthalle Wien, a solo exhibition at SOTHEBY'S Artist Quarterly, a scholarship from the Forum Alpbach and participation in the Alpenbiennale „SilvrettAtelier 2022“' and the OSTRALE in 2015.Together with Dominik Annies, he has been running „Studio Troberg Annies“ since 2021, which got its initial spark from winning a competition for the new design of the Austrian Monument Protection Medal. He will live at the Künstlerhaus for 11 months.
