Nancy Campbell, raised in Scotland and Northumberland, lives in Oxford, UK. She studied traditional book crafts at Barbarian Press in Canada and Woodside Press in New York, and subsequently worked with fine presses in the United States and the UK. A series of residencies at Arctic research institutions between 2010 and 2017 led to numerous projects concerning the environment. Her poetry collection Disko Bay was nominated for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection 2016 and the Michael Murphy Memorial Prize 2017; her latest book The Library of Ice is longlisted for this year's Rathbone Folio Prize. In January 2018 she was appointed the British Canal Laureate, in partnership with the Canal & River Trust and the Poetry Society. Campbell's artist's books* are very well-regarded, and her reviews appear regularly in the Times Literary Supplement.
