The large stage in the garden of Villa Concordia is set up for readings and musical snacks. You are welcome to spread out your own picnic blanket! Stroll in from your shopping on a Saturday!
This is planned for you from 10 am to 6 pm:
11am-12pm: Reading. Matthias Göritz (villa-concordia.de/fellowship 2013/14), Volha Hapeyeva and Andreas Unterweger: „Was wir nicht über Vögel wissen“ (What we don't know about birds)
1-2:30pm: Music. Sinem Altan and her ensemble Olivinn bring Anatolian music, European classical music and contemporary jazz to the stage.
3-4pm: Reading. Matthias Göritz reads from "Die Sprache der Sonne" (The language of the sun). Moderation: Volha Hapeyeva
4-6pm: Music. Jazzküche: Organic Trio
On this evening, the Bamberg brothers Johannes (drums) and Bjössi Klütsch (guitar) meet organist Konrad Buschhüter with Hammond sound, fusion guitar and groove in their luggage, exploring the intersections of jazz, fusion and groove in a classic organ trio line-up - guitar, drums and Hammond organ. Anyone who loves the John Scofield Organic Trio will find what they are looking for here: energetically swinging and grooving, with a feel for space and interaction. The three musicians are part of Jazzküche, a young, creative jazz collective from Bamberg that reinvents itself in constantly changing formations: but always with musical substance and a passion for organic sound.
Snacks & drinks while stock lasts. Please note: Admission is free, but our baroque building is unfortunately not barrier-free. Open door to the main entrance in Concordiastrasse!
