Turkish writer and last year’s fellowship recipient Aslı Tohumcu is back with a new piece: villa-concordia.de/en/artist.
Fairytale-like and decidedly earthy—think of old taverns in deep, dark forests that are home to all manner of creatures—such is the atmosphere in the story “The Little Town of Last Chance” (working title), excerpts of which have been translated by Sabine Adatepe. During her stay, Tohumcu found herself fascinated by the Bamberg Marionette Theater and is delighted to have convinced its artistic director, actress Marta Famula, to read her text.
